Improve Your Building Energy Rating (BER) With Heat Pumps – RTS Heating & Cooling Services Ltd

Building energy rating certificates are issued by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to indicate the performance of your building’s energy. These certificates rate your building on a scale of A-G (with A being the most energy efficient and G being the least.

A high BER can keep your home warmer, reduce energy costs and make the property more attractive to prospective buyers and tenants, so it makes sense to invest in the energy efficiency. One of the most effective ways to improve your BER is to invest in an air source heat pump to handle the heating and hot water requirements of the property. Here at RTS Heating & Cooling Services Ltd, we have helped numerous clients to improve their BER by installing Daikin Altherma Heat Pumps in their home.

SEAI Grants For Heat Pumps

If you have chosen to install a heat pump to improve your BER, you may be entitled to an SEAI grant of up to €3,500 to offset the costs. Not only does this soften the immediate financial ramifications, you will also make long-term savings on your energy bill, meaning this is a sensible investment for your home. You can also apply for an SEAI grant for home insulation, ensuring the heat generated by the heat pump is not lost.

We install Daikin Altherma Heat Pumps which are recognised for their industry leading quality, efficiency and affordability. This is a total domestic heating and hot water system, delivering unbeatable performance whilst also being incredibly efficient.
